The W.M. Stewart Mills had a busy meeting at Rochdale St Lawrence Council recently. The brethren started early with a practice to ensure everyone was ready with the planned business and then commenced on time at 6:30 pm for the business proper.
W.Bro. Mills proceeded through the summons and invested officers not present at the last installation meeting. It was at this point he adjourned the St Lawrence Lodge and proceeded with the main event of the meeting. That of admitting Bro Stan Bibby plus others who required the degree of Grand Tiler of Solomon.
The entire process went perfectly well with everyone taking their part seriously and ensured the two candidates had a good experience throughout the ceremony. The two candidates were welcomed into the order by the WM.
The lodge of St Lawrence was re opened and various officers of the lodge for the ensuing year were elected.
It was certainly well worth making the visit to Rochdale St Lawrence Council for the meeting. The brethren enjoy what they do within the order and certainly put on good ritual.
