Matier Council was preceeded by a Royal Ark Mariner meeting of City Manchester RAM No 34, who had the pleasure of the company of W.Bro Mark Davies the Deputy Provincial Grand Master in the Mark Degree at their meeting. You will find there are a couple of Allied meetings throughout the year that are preceeded by a Royal Ark Mariner Lodge.
Matier Council had a full summons of business for the meeting, including the installation of a new Worshipful Master.
The Deputy Grand Prefect W.Bro Trevor Parvin was welcomed into the Lodge by the brethren and greeted with the usual honors. He then went on to immediately invest the District Inner Guard W.Bro Paul Holt who unfortunatly was unable to attend the Annual District Council meeting in Rochdale last October.
W.Bro Terry Bailey performed an excellent ceremony of installing the new WM, Bro Bev Heywood who then went ahead and appointed and invested his new officers for the coming year. The meeting was conducted to its conclusion and closed by the new WM and officers. It was a thoroughly enjoyable mornings work.
The brethren dined on fish for lunch and enjoyed the company of each other well into the early afternoon.
