On Friday, 29th May, the members of Michael Edward Herbert Council, the Grand Officers’ Council, met at Middleton Masonic Hall.
Following the normal business, a Council of the Red Cross of Babylon was opened, during which we had the pleasure of admitting eleven candidates.
What an excellent evening we enjoyed. The ritual was delivered by the Council members to a truly outstanding standard, and the sincerity, dignity and precision displayed throughout the ceremony reflected immense credit upon Michael Edward Herbert Council.
It was particularly pleasing to see how fully engaged all of the eleven candidates were throughout the proceedings. Their interest and attention were evident from start to finish, which is always a mark of a successful ceremony.

The Council officers support, hard work, preparation and dedication were clearly evident and were greatly appreciated by the Deputy District Grand Prefect, but more importantly by the candidates themselves. The Council should all take great pride in the manner in which the ceremony was conducted.
Following the meeting, we enjoyed an excellent social board, and Middleton Masonic Hall looked after us extremely well, providing a fitting conclusion to a memorable and enjoyable evening.
Sorry I couldn’t be with you all on this occasion. It clashed with a Mark Degree event that I was committed too. By all accounts it was one not to be missed. Congratulations to the eleven members who completed the process of all five degrees.
Congratulations to the eleven members, many of which completed their fifth degree at this meeting.
