A New Deputy For East Lancs

Friday 21st February saw Lancastria Council host the installation of the new Deputy District Grand Prefect for East Lancashire, WBro Trevor E. Parvin. A very well run meeting witnessed by 46 Allied masons. The District Grand Prefect.,RWBro Graham Newton, the head of the order in East Lancashire, took the chair of the council to perform the ceremony

Proceedings were under the direction of the District Director of Ceremonies, WBro Mike Green. After Trevor had been proclaimed by the DC, Graham handed the gavel back to the Worshipful Master, WBro Wes Marchant who then proceeded to install the Master Elect, Bro Robert Ian Frankl into the chair in fine form

Robert is the Provincial Grand Master in the Craft province of East Lancashire and Most Excellent Grand Superintendant for the Royal Arch in East Lancashire as well.

Also present was WBro John Smith who is the Provincial Grand Master for the Mark province of East Lancashire along with Past District Grand Prefects RWBro Mervyn Wilson and RWBro Alex McLaren again from East Lancashire

Following the closure of the council the brethren then retired for an excellent buffet lunch. The new Master said in his response that the Council now had 5 out of 6 of the Craft Assistant Provincial Grand Masters as members – demonstrating the support by the Craft for the Allied Masonic Degrees.
